Welcome Current & Future DCPA Members!

The Association was established in 1991 as a voluntary nonprofit organization, originally known as the Greater Denton Legal Assistants
Association (GDLAA).  In 2005, the Association changed its name
to the Denton County Paralegal Association (DCPA).  Since its founding,
the DCPA has steadily increased membership, developed a reputation
for high standards, and fostered respect within the legal community.

DCPA’s purpose is to promote the professional objectives and goals of
paralegals in Denton County, Texas; to encourage, promote, and conduct programs of continuing education and professional development; and to
promote high standards of integrity and professionalism for paralegals.

Mission Statement

Congratulations to our newly elected officers who will serve with President Daphina Park in 2018:

Blanket Brigade Is A Success!

DCPA embarked on a community service project for the benefit of the children and youth that stay in the Friends of the Family shelter.  We made colorful fleece blankets to cheer and comfort kids displaced from their homes.  Members who wished to participate and become a part of the Blanket Brigade were asked to donate or solicit donations of materials or funds for the project.

We held several Blanket Brigade work nights for those who wanted to learn and enjoy the process together as a group activity.  It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with other DCPA members and work together for the betterment of our community!

We appreciate all who participated, donated materials, and supported this very worthy cause!
