• am a resident of Denton County, Texas, or
• am currently employed in Denton County, Texas and
• have valid proof of completion of a full course of studies prescribed for training as a paralegal or legal assistant at an institutionally accredited college, university or other post-secondary school; or
• have been previously employed as a paralegal or legal assistant for a minimum of three consecutive years; or
• have been employed as a paralegal or legal assistant for six months immediately preceding application for membership
• work under the ultimate supervision of a duly licensed attorney at all times, and I qualify as a member

Your membership will not be complete until the Supervising Attorney Verification form is received. Associate Membership( CLICK FOR APPLICATION)

• have valid proof of completion of a full course of studies prescribed for training as a paralegal or legal assistant at an institutionally accredited college, university or other post-secondary school; or
• have been previously employed as a paralegal or legal assistant for a minimum of three consecutive years; or
• am currently enrolled and actively participating in a post secondary Paralegal Education Program; or
• meet the requirements of voting membership but choose to be listed as an associate member; and
• am not a resident of Denton County, Texas; or
• am not currently employed in Denton County, Texas 

Professional Colleague Membership(CLICK FOR APPLICATION)

• am currently employed in the legal community, but am not employed as a paralegal or legal assistant and do not meet the requirements for Voting membership; and
• am interested in participating in the DCPA as a business colleague member and pledge to provide support for the Association, its members and the paralegal profession 

Emeritus Membership(CLICK FOR APPLICATION)

•  am a current Voting member of the Association; and
• am no longer employed as a paralegal and who has retired from the profession; or                                                                                                            
• moved out of state; or
• taken a leave of absence; or
• begun work in another profession       

Business Membership(CLICK FOR APPLICATION)

• I pledge to provide support for DCPA, its members, and the paralegal profession

• am currently enrolled in an accredited Texas paralegal program leading to a degree or certificate of completion
